Country: Canada

Meet the wonderful Canadian Multi-Genre Author Theresa Jacobs. She was born and raised in Canada and has been writing poetry and short stories her entire life. Theresa has just recently published her first Children Picture book and is currently working on her Novel.

If you want to know her better please visit her honest blog.  Her recent post “TIME FOR CHANGE” shows who she really is. I love her honesty and quote her post:

“Well, last year I decided life was dull, all I was doing was wasting time. I'd work all day and be tired, like everyone else. So I'd come home hit the couch and imitated a potato. Then it hit me, I was wasting my life. I was wasting my dreams and my art. My soul was dying, I was miserable and feeling unworthy.
I woke myself up and said Hey if you want to write, nothing is stopping you. The excuses of being tired, or the tv it too loud, or that I am constantly getting interrupted, were just excuses. I did not want to die and have done nothing for me.
I began writing, I self-published, and I started blogging. Other than a couple of occasions where I was sick I 've blogged every sat. It has not been easy, I don't always know what I am going to blog about. But I am so happy. „

Her lastest Book is "Sudden Death"

Meet American Author Anna J. Stewart

Genres: Sweet romance, Contemporary romance, Romantic suspense
Country: USA
Official Website: www.authorannastewart.com

Meet and discover Anna J. Stewart, Author of  "More Than a Lawman, Honor Bound #1"Anna J. Stewart is the USA Today & national bestselling author of sweet to spicy contemporary romance and romantic suspense. She is a graduate of California State University of Sacramento. Anna lives in Northern California where she manages countless characters living in her head!
About "More Than a Lawman, Honor Bound #1": When she’s targeted by a serial killer, Eden St. Claire turns to her brother’s best friend, police detective Cole Delaney, for protection. Cole spent years fighting his feelings for Eden, and this time, with her life on the line and a ticking clock, he must convince Eden he wants far more than friendship.

Anna first of all welcome to the Lily Amis Blog. Tell me when did you first start writing? Was being a writer something you always aspired to be?
I started writing in high school, but I think I was always a story teller. One of the benefits of being an only child is a very active imagination with tons of "friends". But when I started writing mini-fan-fiction type romances in freshman year of high school, combined with reading my first romance novel, I was hooked. I knew from then on I wanted to write romance.

What would you like to achieve as an Author?
I think most of us would love to achieve bestselling status, but what I'd really love is a following--dedicated readers who can't wait for my next book to come out. I don't think there would be anything better than that.

What is your best advice based on your own experiences so far to other Authors?
Write. Write, write, write and don't assume what works for other writers will work for you. Every author is different: how they create a story, how they write one, no two are alike. Trying to model yourself after someone else will stifle your own voice. Find your own process and know that nothing that works for you is "wrong".

What genres do you read and review to support your fellow Authors?
When I find the time to read (which isn't often these days), I definitely read most sub-genres of romance. I'm also a thriller and mystery fan and some science fiction and fantasy. If I review, it'll be on Amazon under a different name. Given the "rules" on reviewing other authors now that I am one, I tend to get a little leery about it. If it's a book I absolutely fall in love with I tend to email that author to tell them.  :)

A quote by you or your Life motto?
I have two: "Just keep swimming"  as spoken by Dory from Finding Nemo and my high school yearbook quote, which came from a romance called Timeless Passion: "Nothing worthwhile comes easy. Hard work only makes you appreciate it more."

Anna, it is truly my pleasure to feature a passionate Author like you on my blog. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I love your advice and both quotes. I wish you the best of luck on your writing journey and hope we catch up for your next bestselling books!
My best wishes, Lily Amis
