Echoes of Your Love – The Story Behind the Album
There are moments in life that last only a few seconds, yet somehow stay with us forever.
Echoes of Your Love was born from one simple question: Why do some people leave a lasting imprint on our hearts, even when they were never truly part of our lives?
This album tells the story of a connection that never had the chance to become a relationship, yet continued to exist long after the moment itself had passed. It is a journey through longing, distance, hope, imagination, acceptance, and everything in between.
Each song represents a different emotional chapter. From the unexpected encounter in Platform 9 to the sleepless thoughts of Can't Get You Out of My Head, the romantic longing of Écoute Moi, the vulnerability of I Need You, and the quiet acceptance of C'est la Vie, every track explores another layer of what happens when the heart refuses to forget.
One thing became clear while writing these songs: love doesn't always follow the paths we expect. Sometimes it arrives unexpectedly, stays only for a moment, and leaves behind questions that may never be answered. Sometimes we never get the chance to know what could have been. Yet the feeling remains.
Throughout the album, English and French intertwine naturally. The French phrases are not there simply for style; they reflect the emotional side of the story. Some feelings are difficult to explain logically. They are simply felt.
Something else happened during the writing process that I didn't plan. None of the songs use specific gender references. The story is told from a male perspective, but the emotions belong to everyone. Love, longing, missed connections, and hope do not belong to any one gender, culture, language, or orientation. They are universal human experiences.
At its heart, Echoes of Your Love is not an album about relationships.
It is an album about the feelings that remain when one is without.
About the people we never forget.
About the conversations we never had.
About the words we never said.
And about the echoes that continue long after the moment itself has passed.
Thank you for listening and becoming part of this journey.
